From 1979 to 1995, the Unabomber was American’s most notorious domestic terrorist. He crafted homemade bombs and mailed them to victims all across the country. He was an adamant critic of modern technology and how it separated man from nature. He symbolically targeted people he felt were accelerating us into techno-slavery. Most of the bombs were sent to Universities and Airport, earning the case the nickname “UNABOMB.” He mailed 16 bombs, murdered 3 people and maimed dozens more. At the time, this was the longest unsolved case in FBI history.
